A week in the life of Block Studio

by | Nov 23, 2023

Exciting times over the last week here at Block Studio.  We have been assisting with the development of a brochure for an energy efficiency company by producing some professional photo realistic CGI images.  These images promote the company’s services including EV ports, solar panels, and battery storage to potential clients.

To meet all the client’s requirements, we used Revit 2024 to create and design a space. While the latest version of Revit has resolved several issues that occurred in previous versions, we found it challenging to adapt to the new landscaping tool. Just one of those things in using newer software, problems arise but we are here to learn and grow into new software systems.

Photo-realistic images

After completing the model, we use our rendering software to create a photo-realistic image that meets the client’s expectations for promoting their products. This process also allows the client to review the image and provide feedback to refine the final product. It’s always a great experience to work with friendly and cooperative clients who provide all the necessary information to achieve the desired result.

Providing insights at Block Studio

We also have a student on work placement every Friday.  We provide them with insights into professional working practices, and we discuss the different paths related to architecture and architectural technology. We also had them survey our office, and we are now using the measurements they obtained to generate a better working space for the entire team.

Our new drone service

Our brand-new drone service is now live, and it presents a thrilling opportunity for our business to connect with a larger audience.  Block Studio is already an exciting prospect, however filming 4K clips with our drone is awesome!

Charity football

Finally, last week’s charity football event was a great success, and everyone enjoyed it so much that they are already asking us to do it again next year. We are currently discussing our next fundraising event which will help us reach our target of raising £10,000 for Kilbryde Hospice.
