Our collaborative approach to delivering our clients’ projects has this month seen the launch of our new division. Block Interiors is headed up by Oliver Shields, formerly of BSD Design Associates.
2023 has certainly brought about much change here at Block Architects. Since moving from Bellshill into our new office in Hamilton, we have had the pleasure of bringing to you both Block Studio and now Block Interiors. All three departments – Architecture, Studio and Interiors work collaboratively to increase the quality of our services in our aim to design inspiring spaces.
Oliver’s experience in Commercial and Residential Architecture and Interiors will be instrumental in delivering a complete design, construction, and project management service for our clients.
Working as a design team
Our in-house designers now sit directly opposite each other bringing back those good old-fashioned values of face-to-face design meetings. No longer do we need to rely on communication with external consultants via email exchange or online meetings. Our in-house Interior Design service means that we can resolve design issues timeously by controlling work order and prioritising projects where required.
Clients moving to Block Interiors
The take-up by our existing client base has been amazing. Good, long-established clients are now moving their Interior Design projects to Block Interiors. Some of our clients are now asking for Interior Design Services when they have never done so before. The synergy with our 3D CGI department, Block Studio, is strong. Literally, 3D computer models and interiors can be worked up simultaneously resulting in effective and fast decision-making, allowing projects to proceed quickly and allowing better quality design decisions to be made.
The team at Block Architects are super excited about the future of Block Interiors.
