Case Study: King Street, Stirling
This project realises the redevelopment of a Grade B listed mid terraced commercial development, formerly office accommodation over three levels.
The Clients
NOMM Wealth Builder Trust purchased the three floors of this Grade B Listed building. Some refurbishment works had started pre-purchase and had been abandoned during Covid-19 pandemic. Working with a Trust to realise a new commercial venture has been productive and certainly interesting for the team.
The Brief
Assist with the conversion of three floors into new commercial space. With retail on the ground floor being independently owned our remit was to prepare proposals for the conversion and modernisation of the first floor into executive serviced office space. Similarly, on the second and third floors, our remit was to facilitate the conversion of abandoned office space into executive serviced accommodation suites all of which are attractive to the local business community and tourists alike.
Our Solutions
A full measured drawing survey of the building was undertaken facilitating a comprehensive base drawing to allow initial design concepts to flow. Block worked in tandem with Interior Designers (IDBD) to then advance the interior fit-out proposals all suitable for Listed Building Approvals and Building Warrant Submission.
Block Architects assisted with survey information, Listed Building Consents, Planning Permissions and Building Warrants with some pre-start advice ensuring the client set off in the right direction.
