After having successfully worked with Community Wish List, to provide a new community defibrillator at Blantyre Old Parish Church, the team agreed that we should be doing more for our local community.
Kilbryde Hospice
Obviously, as the practice is based in Lanarkshire, there are numerous deserving and worthwhile organisations on our doorstep to consider and clearly, this made it exceedingly difficult to decide who we should champion. However, through discussions with the team it became apparent that there was a definite standout charity, over and above the rest; one that has had a larger impact upon their lives. And that organisation was Kilbryde Hospice.

Kilbryde Hospice’s Corporate Challenge
Through our early discussions with the fundraising team at Kilbryde, we were drawn to their Corporate Challenge; where companies compete against each other to see who can raise the most money over the year. For us, however, it offered the opportunity for our team to bond and be actively involved in organising and competing in fun events, which will help them grow as people too.
To date we have hosted and undertaken several events; including a Golf outing at Silloth on Solway Golf Course, an office bake sale, a 100-mile cycle, and a 10k run, all of which, to date, have raised over £5000 and counting.
With plans for numerous other events penciled over the next five months, including a 7-a-side football tournament (hosted by North Lanarkshire Leisure at Broadwood Stadium) early next month, the team are looking forward to smashing the £10,000 mark, along with each and every new challenge that awaits us.
